Why Do I Need a Party Theme?

To make planning a party less overwhelming, first decide on a date for the celebration and then find a venue.  Once those are both determined, you should choose a theme by referring to inspiration cues from the venue, the season, and your personal style!  Picking a theme is by no means necessary, but it will make the whole planning process much easier and can also be a lot of fun!

Once the theme is determined, a huge weight will be lifted off your shoulders since it will be much easier to plan, make those party purchases, and decided on what, if any, DIY projects you will undertake.  Your theme should be carried throughout from your invitations, escort or table place cards, centerpieces,  party favors, and even the menu!  Here are some themes we continue to see for 2013 for different occasions:

Once you have your theme for your occasion, pick 3-4 colors and stick with them.  You can even go to your local paint store, Lowes, or Home Depot and pick-up some paint chips to carry with you and to make sure the colors compliment each other.  We are seeing a lot of requests for peach, emerald green, mint green, navy blue, or vibrant purple!

By having your invitations, thank you notes, party favors, and decorations with your colors and theme, you will add to the event and help make decorating easy.   Your invitations set the mood and are the first glimpse of what your guests will see of your style so don’t pick something plain and boring.  Make it YOU!  It’s Your celebration, so make it Your Way with Your style!!!!
